Devin Claus
President

Hi! My name is Devin Claus and I am a senior at the University of North Dakota majoring in Accountancy. I grew up on a farm just east of Enderlin, North Dakota.

I am going into my 8th year in FBLA-PBL! I have served as the local FBLA Chapter President at Enderlin High School for one year, two years as the UND PBL Chapter President and I am absolutely thrilled that you have chosen me to serve as your state PBL President this year. I have attended National Leadership Conferences in Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta and I am going to Anaheim this summer!

I am currently working as the student internal auditor for UND. When I am not studying, I am usually reading a good book or checking up on the latest news on Sioux hockey or the Minnesota Vikings. I plan to graduate in May 2010 and hope to work for a "big four" accounting firm in the Twin Cities.

Holly Kurth
Vice President of Finance and Member Development

Hello North Dakota Phi Beta Lambda! I am Holly Kurth, your 2009-2010 Vice President of Finance and Member Development. I am currently a senior at Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota. I am working toward a degree in Business Administration concentrating on Economics and Marketing and plan on graduating in the spring of 2010.

I joined Phi Beta Lambda my junior year in the fall of 2009. I think it is a great way for students to get ahead in any profession. In the past year I have learned a lot about; business etiquette, career searching, preparing for interviews and I hope to learn much more.

When I graduate I hope to land a job in the housing industry. I am currently interning at the Hittner Group in Apple Valley, MN and working part-time at Companion Housing Programs in Minneapolis. On my spare time I enjoy biking, playing volleyball, volunteering, reading, hanging out with friends and I am always open to new activities.

Carlene Jones
Vice President of Communications

Hey! I am Carlene Jones, a senior at Jamestown College. I am majoring in Psychology and Business Administration with a concentration in International Business.

This is my first year as a Phi Beta Lambda member, and I love it thus far. The organization is a great tool to help students prepare for the business world. I am building lasting relationships and developing skills that will help me as a professional in the future.

I am a native Arizonan and the oldest of five children. I have been married for two years to my high school sweetheart, Stephen. I currently work as an assistant for the Jamestown Hospital Foundation. I love my job! I also enjoy to scrapbook, bake, travel, backpack, and read Nicholas Sparks novels.

Remington Zacher
Vice President of Public Relations

Hi! My name is Remington Zacher and I am a sophomore at the University of North Dakota majoring in Banking and Financial Economics. I am originally from Parshall, a small town in western North Dakota.

This upcoming year will be my 5th year in FBLA-PBL, during this time I served one term as local FBLA Chapter President at Parshall High School, and many other officer positions including Historian, Reporter, and Webmaster. In 2006, I was elected the State Webmaster for North Dakota. I have attended the past three National Leadership Conferences in Nashville, Chicago, and Atlanta.

This summer I will be working at Lakeside State Bank and spending as much time at the lake as possible. When I’m not working on the North Dakota PBL website, you will most likely find me around campus in a meeting, studying, or checking on the stock market.

Kristin Demory
Vice President of Operations

Hi! I'm Kristin Demory, a senior at Jamestown College. I'm pursuing majors in Accounting and Business Management, as well as a minor in Information Technology.

I have been involved in FBLA-PBL for 4 years! One year in high school & this will be my third year in college. This year I will serve as my chapter's Vice President. I am also looking forward to being part of North Dakota's State PBL team! In high school, I competed in Parliamentary Procedure at the district, state, and national levels in the FCCLA organization. Being chosen as the State Parliamentarian is a perfect fit for me!

I am currently managing the local swimming pool in my hometown, Harvey, ND, but during the school year I work at the Applebees in Jamestown. After graduating in May 2010, I plan on moving to Arizona & hopefully becoming a CPA for an accounting firm in the Phoenix area.Some things I like to do in my spare time include: hanging out with my family, fiance, & friends, watching movies, and playing sports!
